Sources and Fact-Checking

Fesco Check Bill is an independent information website. This page explains how factual claims on the site are checked and which external sources are preferred.

Primary sources we use

For bill lookup fields and the current public bill-check workflow, we check the PITC FESCO bill interface. For utility notices and service information, we prefer the official FESCO website. For consumer-service rules and regulated billing guidance, we use publications from the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), including the current Consumer Service Manual where relevant.

How facts are checked

Claims are compared with the live public interface and the most relevant primary source available. We avoid treating old screenshots, month-specific wording or third-party summaries as proof of current functionality. If an official source does not support a claim, the wording is qualified or removed.

How sources are cited

Core guides include a short “Sources and verification” section linking to the source most relevant to that page. External portals, layouts and policies may change, so visitors should confirm time-sensitive bill, tariff, due-date and payment information with the relevant public billing service or FESCO.
